Save a life, Donate blood.

Well, today I finally conquered one of my fears -- giving blood. I have always wanted to give blood but my fear of needles and the finger prick have always deterred me. Not today, friends, not today.

I was volunteering at the blood drive and two of my colleagues gave blood. I thought, if I can birth an over nine pound baby, I can donate blood. So, I psyched myself up and did it. And the coolest part? Well, I have rare blood so it is always needed. Now, I feel extra special and helpful. Plus, I have this cool pink arm band to wear now -- it's like I have super powers.

So, one fear down and many others left to conquer. But I really don't know how I will get over my fear of housefires and spiders, to name a few.

I never thought of it that way. Yes, I gave birth so why would giving blood be so scary??? Do they give epidurals ;-)

Congrats on facing your fears Trisha! I hate needles too, and that's probably why I don't give blood.
