This weekend my mom and I went to the American Idol on tour concert. Mom is a big fan and I enjoy the show when I get to see it. We were both very happy when Taylor Hicks won -- so I ordered tickets so she could go. We sat in the nose-bleed section. We were in the second to last row up, but luckily on the side of the stage, so we weren't that far away.

It was a great time. The talent of these individuals was remarkable and is definitely more than you see on the show. Many of them could play the guitar, harmonica or piano and their voices have developed since the end of the season. My favorite song of the show was when Chris, Elliot, Bucky and Ace sang Patience by Guns 'n Roses, while Chris and Bucky played the guitar. It is something about men singing that just makes me smile.

All in all it was a great bonding time with my mom -- who is in love with Taylor. We enjoyed the show, the drive and each other's company.

Sounds like you had a fun time! I love how "Idol" bruoght together the generations!

I am obsessed with "So You Think You Can Dance," and am SO bummed that I didn't get tickets in time for the tour that they are doing for that show! You're lucky you got to see the "Idol" tour!
