Random thoughts from Vacation

Meet Tuck and B-man. This was one of the two parades that we went to earlier this month. It was B-man's first real parade where he knew what was going on. He loved sitting on the curb watching and waiting for candy.

This is the little guy after collecting beads and a ball from the parade.

B-man is just like his daddy when it comes to watermelon. They both love it!!

We are off to "do" the town with some shopping and lunch. The drive down was fine for the first hour when the little guy slept peacefully, then he woke up and decided it would be fun to scream for twenty minutes because he wanted to get out of the car seat. So I started talking to him, telling him what we were doing and he stopped. Thus, I continued to talk for the rest of the trip! That wasn't in the mother manuel when I got this kid. I probably looked like a quack talking to myself for a half an hour through town. Oh well.

I know what you mean about the mom manual. You have to take classes on labor but none are offered for how to parent. I think it is because there are soooo many viewpoints on how to parent that it would get confussing. Anyway, good job on the talking idea!!

Quack, quack, can I join the flock? Roadtrips. Ugh. I wish they had those dividers like in cabs or limos so you don't have to listen to them screaming :)

And I have yet to meet a kid that doesn't like watermelon. I don't blame them, sweet watery yumminess. It's crack on a rind!
