my boy
Lately, the little guy wakes up before me and Tuck on the weekends. (No surprise to any of you parents out there, you will sleep as long as you can when you have little ones.)
He climbs into bed with us and snuggles between us before whispering, "I want something to eat." This child loves his breakfast.
This last Saturday morning (Sweetest Day) my boy followed his usual routine and was laying between me and Tuck in our dark bedroom. Then he looks at me and says (all on his own, for the very first time) "I love you, mommy." Then turning to Tuck, says, "I love you, daddy."
Done. Enough. My heart melted and I knew I wanted to remember this moment forever. I love that boy!
Then the typical two and a half year-old came out in true colors later on when he said in his sassy-little voice, "I don't like you." Much deserved after not giving him EVERYTHING that he asks for at the drop of a hat- I know.

Oh my gosh, Noah just said "Yuv you" for the first time the other day, too! I totally understand that 'melted' feeling. I wish he would cuddle in bed with us on Saturday mornings! He just wants to get up at 6am and watch Little Einsteins with one of us at full attention next to him on the couch. It's a beating...
