Missing him

Well, I am a bachelorette once again. Tuck left Sunday morning for a seven hour drive to a week-long conference for his new job. Two nights down, two more without him to go.

I always hate when we are a part for more than a night or two. Especially being a mom and a prego one too, it is tough to be the one to constantly entertain, feed, bathe, dress and discipline the little guy. Luckily, he has been pretty good so far.

The worst part of him being gone are the nights. Since I turn into a complete freak at night (worrying about someone breaking in and stealing the little guy, hurting me or Tuck and so on), I hate spending my two hours after the little guy is in bed alone and thinking, making myself scared of NOTHING! Then I have to sleep alone, which sometimes is nice, when Tuck is up earlier than me or later than me. But knowing he isn't in the house at all makes me not able to enjoy the bed to myself.

So luckily, my amazing mother has been staying with us to help keep me company and help with the little guy in the morning as I get ready for work. It works out nicely because if he wants to sleep in then he can and she will take him to her house or daycare when he wakes up. Plus if he wakes up when I am getting ready for work, she will get his breakfast and dressed and let me get out the door on time. Like I said -- she is the best! Plus, it gives us a chance to talk at night too. Since she is alone every night, I think she enjoys company as mush as I do.

Friday, Tuck will be back and we both took off work to enjoy a three day weekend together. It will be nice, we may go to the pool with B-man, do some work around the house and just enjoy our time together.
