Second time's a charm.

The little guy at 2 1/2!

He's getting good at blowing out candles.

Opening really late presents.

The half birthday boy with his baseball presents.

So, today is the little guy's 1/2 birthday. He is officially 2 1/2, which makes me incredibly sad that he is getting so big, so fast.

On his actual birthday in January, he was super sick and so were the rest of us. So we didn't really celebrate it. I know, I am a horrible mother, but seriously, there were no pictures taken, no cake, no presents, nothing.

We decided it would be fun to have a 1/2 birthday party for him, to get some pictures for the books and so on. Plus with the new little one right around the corner, I wanted him to have a special day too.

My mother, who is wonderful, had us over for dinner since she was watching my niece and nephew too. We had little Elmo party favors for the kids and boxes of raisins. A great meal of Mexican stuffed shells, salad, bread, hot dogs (for the kids), and dessert. I bought a cute chocolate Madalaine cake from our grocery store and the little guy blew out the candle like a champ.

He even got a present from us and my mom, both baseball related, which he loved.

So, Happy 1/2 Birthday little guy. We love you lots and can't believe you are getting so old. You are a very special little guy and we couldn't be more blessed.

I think it's so cute that you celebrated his half birthday. That will be a fun story for him to tell when he's older.
