Just a Sub
The start of school has arrived. Since I was a child, starting kindergarten with my backpack on, carpet for naps in hand and freshly sharpened pencils ready to go -- I have always loved this time.
I love school. I love everything that goes with the start of school. New school clothes, SCHOOL SUPPLIES, seeing friends again, meeting new teachers, learning new things and becoming a student again.
This start of school was supposed to mark the beginning of a new and exciting adventure for me -- teaching. Alas, it didn't work out right now. After four different interviews, some good, some not so good, I will be a substitute teacher this year.
I have signed up with five different districts along with a parochial school in my town. I am hoping that this will be a great networking time and way to gain valuable experience in multiple grades and schools. A part of me is devastated that I am not in my own classroom. Yet the other part of me knows that this has happened for a reason.
I am trying to stay positive and ready to be a sub.

Trisha - You will find something eventually and being a sub will be a great networking opportunity for you. But I am sure you are ready to have your OWN classroom - best of luck with your continued search.
I am glad you liked the photos --- it was great to finally get them, brought me right back to the day. It was so much fun!
