My boys

My boys have been pretty amazing lately.
Tuck accepted the new position and put in his two week notice. I know he is going to miss his co-workers at his current job and the customers he has formed relationships with, but the new position was such a great opportunity for him and our family that he couldn't resist. I am so proud of him. Not only that, but last week he received the Employee of the Year award for the entire company! He is such a hardworker and deserves to be recognized like that. I love him dearly.
Then there is the little guy, two weeks ago, I told you all that we took the front panel off his crib and was sleeping pretty well. Well, he fell out about twice and was doing so weel that we transitioned him to a toddler bed this past weekend. I can't believe my baby now sleeps in a cute, little bed with a small comforter and everything. He loves it and the freedom of being able to go "na-night" all by himself, even if it is only for ten minutes. He is doing really well and hasn't put up a fuss at all. We also bought a potty chair for him this weekend -- I know, big changes around here. He likes to sit on it and say "all done" even though nothing ever happens. But at least he is getting used to the idea. Hopefully, in the next six months he will be trained.
So the crib is officially down and in the closet of the baby room. It only made me slightly sad to see him out of it. Actually, I think I am more sad when I look in on him sleeping in the little bed, growing taller by the minute. He had his two year check up last week. Oh. my. gosh. This child is a string bean. He is practically three feet tall (80 percentile) and only 26.5 pounds (25 percentile). I know babies that are almost that heavy. That means that in the two years of his life, he has grow about 15 inches and only gained about 17 pounds! I think he needs to start eating something besides ketchup for supper!
On a different note, this past weekend we received 24 inches of snow in two days! It was beautiful and back-breaking since we don't have a snowblower. I felt so bad for Tuck who had to do most of it on his own. But the weather was great and we enjoyed playing in the snow almost all Sunday and building snowman.

I am so happy for Tuck (and probably more for you since you get to SEE him more now) about the new job! So awesome and so many benefits!
I will have to come over to see Brody's bed! Before you know it, you'll be putting him on the bus for his first day of kindergarten! Don't mean to scare you! :-)

What a great post! Congratulations to Tuck for the new job and for Employee of the Year! Sounds like you have every reason to be proud of him.
My son (16 mos) is one of those who weighs in at almost 25 lbs already-which still only puts him in the 50th percentile. Can you believe how fast they grow??
